Heath Goldfields LTD has launched a US$20 million Community Development Plan to transform Bogoso-Prestea through investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure and job creation. Heath Goldfields LTD, a wholly owned Ghanaian Mining Company has officially launched a transformative US$20 million five-year Community Development Plan designed to improve livelihoods and accelerate sustainable socio-economic development across the Bogoso-Prestea enclave.
Launched under the theme, “A New Era of Growth, Opportunity and Hope: Our Commitment to Community Development,” the initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring that mining creates long-term value for host communities through investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure, skills development and employment opportunities.

Addressing stakeholders at the launch, Managing Director of Heath Goldfields, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ต ๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ต highlighted the remarkable turnaround achieved since the company assumed management of the Mine, which had been inactive for over two years.
โToday, Heath Goldfields supports approximately 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, has invested over GHยข150 million in local procurement within five months of resumed operations and has paid more than GHยข290 million towards inherited worker-related liabilities, including salary arrears, pension contributions and severance obligationsโ.
