On Wednesday 17th September 2025, Heath Goldfields Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine was honored to welcome 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝗳𝗶 𝗕𝘂𝗮𝗵, 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀, to our Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine. He was accompanied by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗮𝗰 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗵, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗳𝗶 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝗲𝗶, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Morkeh Arthur (CEnv, MISEP, EnvDipNEBOSH, FGhISEP) as Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager for the Bogoso Prestea Mine, effective 15th September 2025.

Samuel is an accomplished Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) leader with 22 years of professional experience, including 14 years in the mining industry. He holds an MSc in Environmental Resources Management and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering, along with multiple professional certifications, including NEBOSH Diplomas and Certificates, ISO Lead Auditor accreditations (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001), Radiation Safety certification, and the Ghana Minerals Commission Certificates of Competency as Senior Officer, Superintendent, and HSE Manager.

Patrick Appiah Mensah, Managing Director of Heath GoldFields Ltd, shares a major progress update on the company’s mission to restore the historic Bogoso–Prestea Mine. With more than GHS 150 million already invested across salaries, safety upgrades, and community obligations even before production resumes, Heath GoldFields continues to demonstrate its commitment to responsible mining, sustainability, and Ghanaian-led transformation in the gold sector.

Heath GoldFields Ltd recently welcomed Chief Inspector of Mines, Mr. Richard Kofi Adjei, to the Bogoso Prestea Mine as part of ongoing preparations for a responsible restart of operations. During his visit to the Prestea Underground Mine, Mr. Adjei commended the company’s progress and urged the team to uphold the highest safety standards. The visit underscores Heath GoldFields’ commitment to regulatory partnership, operational excellence, and community-driven sustainability as the company moves toward renewed production.

Heath GoldFields Ltd recently hosted a Community Mine Consultative Committee (CMCC) meeting that brought together mine leadership, traditional authorities, local government, and community representatives. The session reinforced the company’s commitment to transparent communication, responsible mining, and shared community development around the Bogoso–Prestea Mine.

Mr. Mickson is a highly accomplished finance professional whose career spans more than 18 years across the mining, legal, property, and consulting sectors. He brings to Heath a rare blend of financial leadership, systems expertise, and operational insight, backed by a proven track record of strengthening financial governance and delivering value in complex business environments.

Heath Goldfields Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Buertey Hadjor as Mine Operations Manager for Heath Goldfields Bogoso Prestea Gold Mine, effective immediately.

Heath Goldfields Ltd, the current leaseholder and operator of the Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine, has paid GHS 80 million to settle outstanding salaries owed to employees from the previous leaseholder’s tenure.
