Heath Goldfields Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Buertey Hadjor as Mine Operations Manager of the Bogoso Prestea Gold Mine, effective immediately.
Mr. Hadjor brings to Heath GoldFields Ltd over two decades of operational and strategic leadership experience in the mining industry. He has served in several key leadership roles at Abosso Goldfields Limited – Damang Mine, including Acting Operations Manager, Mining Manager, and Technical Services Unit Manager. Mr. Hadjor will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for leading all core operational functions of the Bogoso Prestea Gold Mine.
His immediate mandate is to align these functions in full compliance with regulatory requirements and position them strategically for the safe and timely restart of the mine. He will lead the operational transformation with a focus on systems integrity, workforce preparedness, equipment readiness, and production optimization—laying the foundation for a responsible and sustainable return to gold production.
Mr. Hadjor holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He also possesses a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency, along with advanced certifications in project management, change leadership, and operational excellence from internationally recognized institutions such as Harvard Business Publishing and the International Academy of Project Management.
